Meet Your Counselor

About Me

I figure that many of you are wondering, "Who is Ms. Ceci?"

My name is Cecilia Fuentes, but I like to go by "Ms. Ceci" and I am Prairie's new school counselor. My preferred gender pronouns are (she/her/hers). Want to learn more about gender pronouns? (Click Here!) I have worked in education in different capacities for the past 6 years. I am a Sac State Alumni (Stingers Up!) and recently graduated from the University of San Francisco (Go Dons!) with a Master's in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in School Counseling and Professional Clinical Counseling. Aside from being a School Counselor, I am also registered with the CA BBS as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. I take a lot of pride in being an advocate for social justice and an agent of change so I believe in fostering an inclusive and equitable environment where every student has access to the necessary tools to succeed academically and reach social emotional wellbeing. On my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going out to eat, binge-watching shows, and traveling. Being a bilingual Latina counselor, I have a passion for serving the Spanish speaking community and hope to bring more representation to the field. I am dedicated to helping students and their families break down barriers that prevent them from being successful and happy human beings. :)
