Establish a labor market need.

• Substantial labor market data OR

• 3-5 letters of support from businesses in the local community indicating a labor market need.

Establish an advisory committee.

• Hold 1 meeting to determine skills needed. Be sure to invite the CTE Coordinator and your site administrator.

Write course proposals for the entire pathway.

• Start with the capstone skills needed and backwards map.

• Utilize the SCOE tool to write the course outline.

• Submit course proposals to CCAT- Needs to be done by NOVEMBER to be offered in the next school year.

Hold an advisory committee meeting.

• Discuss the proposed change and seek input on skills needed in the pathway

• Hold an advisory committee vote

Submit a course proposal form.

• Select the revision box. Be sure to include existing course #

• Attach an updated course outline.
