Hello Spring Lake Family!
Did you know that you can support your school simply by grocery shopping at Nugget or Food4Less?
SLE PTO is a registered beneficiary organization of the Nugget Community Scrip Program. If you wish to participate, you simply show your Scrip Card to the cashier to scan and up to 4% of your purchase is donated to the PTO to fund various activities, field trips, and programs for the school.
Have an old Scrip Card lying around? You can still use it!
Don't have a Scrip Card? Pick one up from the front office, or email Michelle Montoya (michelle.montoya@wjusd.org) to request one to be sent home with your child. Or just use our digital online Scrip Card
Questions? email us: springlakeowlspto@gmail.com
... and raise money for our school. It's super easy.
All you need is your phone! Download the Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then use the app to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will identify Box Tops products on your receipt and automatically credit our school’s earnings online. Twice a year, our school will receive a check and can use that cash to buy whatever it needs!
Clip the icon off your box, glue or tape it to a paper and turn them to your child's teacher or into the office with your child's name, grade and teacher written on it.
Contact springlakeowlspto@gmail.com for further questions.

$250 Raised!
The PTO raised $403.02! Thank you families for your participation.
Aside from our annual Read-A-Thon, Fit-A-Thon, and Dine and Donate fundraising activities, we've also organized a Community Fall Harvest Festival inside the school in 2018 and 2019. The festival featured game booths that our school kids and their families enjoyed and local businesses/vendors who donated 20% of their tangibale sales to PTO or paid a $30 flat fee for a non-tangible item.
Proceeds from all these fundraising activities support our school/classroom activities. Here are some of them:
Funding for the following items for school year 2020-2021: planners for 4th and 5th graders, communication folders, and minor upgrades to the staff lounge (some inexpensive shelves, an area rug, a plant or two).
Sponsoring the attendance of a staff member in the virtual CUE Conference on learning and technology (VIRTUAL CUE BOLD 2020) on May 18, 2020—May 31, 2020.
Funding two virtual author visits in October 2020: 1) Diane Alber met online with TK-1st grade students to discuss her book "Scribble Stones." A class set (30) of her book was purchased. 2) Jackson Pearce met virtually with 2nd - 5th grade students to discuss her book "Ellie Engineer." Copies were provided to each 2nd - 4th grade student. 5th grade students got a digital copy of her book "Pip Bartlett's Guide to Magical Creatures" from the school's e-book platform (Special Thanks to PTO parent Chris Durr, for arranging these author visits).
Funding the completion of some enhancements to our TK/Kinder play yard and an end-of-the-year gift for all of the staff (who have certainly gone above and beyond this school year 2020-2021!)
Hosting Staff Appreciation Weeks and (every April) and Staff Appreciation Breakfast/Return to School Breakfast (every January).
