Assessment: This gear is an area that will be continually on our radar even though we are not addressing it with a specific objectives during this plan. The library staff supports the teaching staff by assisting with the ethical use of information and media. Teachers are integrating technology standards into the curriculum and as part of the integration they are guiding students to be ethical, responsible and safe users of technology.
The Library Program will continue to teach and reinforce digital citizenship and ethical use of media for students and staff through the library program and with supporting teaching staff in using technology in the classroom. We will continue to develop a robust Digital Citizenship curriculum for grades K-12 which can be taught in conjunction with the guidance staff, classroom teachers and library staff.
The District's Library and Technology Policies will be reviewed and updated in the next plan cycle.
