District Technology Committee
Assessment: This gear will continue to be supported behind the scenes with no large-scale objectives during the plan. The district continues a robust and active technology committee. The library media specialist will continue to support and empower the library assistants in managing the library spaces and improve technology-use skills.
New technology and pedagogical shifts will continue to determine best practice and district initiatives to support student learning. The Library Program will continue to play an active role in these initiatives and supporting their roll out.
1. District Technology Committee will continue to meet once per trimester to determine district needs/resources/allocation of available funds/etc. This will be done in partnership with the school district technology department.
2. Look for potential new after-school and summer enrichment programs for students: ex. Coding, Digital Photos/Editing, Web Tools, News programming and videography, language learning, and support other STEM initiatives. This will require consideration of available staffing.
