Example of Using the Implementation Cycle

At our last CAC meeting we met and reviewed the needs assessment and we provided feedback to be considered in this year's annual plan.

Organizing: To organize our program we began with a comprehensive needs assessment. Based on this process, we discussed the finding for a need to improve emotional regulation amongst our students. 

Planning: In planning ahead, the CAC came up with a way that will allow the counselors to go in to each classroom and provide direct instruction on feelings, how to identify them, and how to learn to deal with them. 

Designing: Our teacher representatives assisted us with ideas for lessons that would be age appropriate and would improve our outcomes. 

Implementing: Mrs. De La Rosa and Mrs. Cantu implemented the guidance lessons and documented pre and post data to assess the learning. In addition, they provided supplemental lessons for the teachers as follow up lessons if needed. 

Evaluating: Mrs. De La Rosa and Mrs. Cantu reviewed the results of the data collected. They were able to see that learning had occurred and shared with the CAC for future planning.
