CAC CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESS
The Counseling Advisory Council plays a vital role in guiding campus counseling initiatives through the implementation cycle—organizing, planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating. Our work is data-driven, utilizing results from the Panorama Survey, Advisory Exit Tickets, and CCMR data to assess campus needs and inform program direction for the 2024–2025 school year. This continuous cycle ensures that our counseling program remains aligned with campus and district goals while remaining responsive to the evolving needs of our students. For the 2024–2025 school year, our focus areas include providing grade-specific counseling sessions and targeted small-group interventions to promote academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary success for all Wildcats.
ORGANIZING in ACTION: At the beginning of the year, members reviewed Panorama, attendance, and CCMR data to identify SEL and academic readiness as focus areas. We ensured that all stakeholders were committed to using data to drive our counseling program.
(Pictured below is our CAC reviewing the data and events from previous year)
DESIGNING in ACTION: Due to data we designed a MTSS that included specialized events in each of the four competencies.
(Pictured below was one of the initiatives for responsive services - WE Belong Volleyball Game Teachers vs. Students focused on Sense of Belonging.)
EVALUATING in ACTION: In the spring meeting, members reviewed survey results and recommended continuing the Lunch Bunch Series, but change some of the topics we had previously discussed. We decided to include more opportunities for social engagement and social awareness, since our fall/winter Panorama surveys showed we had a decrease in student's results.
(Pictured below is the results that we analyzed for this actions.)
PLANNING in ACTION: We reviewed Panorama data and one of the items brought up by our student representative was communication which in turn determine the priorities for our school counseling program plan.
(The video below was one of our products used to promote the purpose of our Panorama data, it's our student representative explaining to our students how their voice drives our counseling program.)
IMPLEMENTING in ACTION: Part of our goals was to increase the number of Lunch Bunch activities that we offered from once a month to 3 times a month.
