This library contains measures used in the second phase of the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) to assess intervention impact.
Measures are searchable across 7 categories: Demographics, Background, Career - Long Term, Career - Short Term, COVID, Psychosocial, and Additional measures.
This pilot library was developed to demonstrate the power of common measures for the NIH Training, Workforce Development, Diversity (TWD) community.
The measures reflect a diversity of knowledge, skills and attitudes that are commonly of interest when assessing undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, and faculty members.
The Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA)+ Community of Practice is supported by UW–Madison’s Institute for Clinical and Translational Research.
This community includes clinical and translational scientists, mentorship experts, practitioners, scholars and institutional leaders across career stages who are interested in advancing the science and practice of mentorship in the clinical and translational research sciences and beyond. This community often discusses assessment and curates resources on their google site.

This toolkit is designed to be used in assessing mentoring relationships, with a focus on early career scholar success.
Mentees and their mentorship teams are invited to use the toolkit to gain an understanding of the perceived alignment of needs and supports across six domains of mentorship (research, career development, psychosocial, interpersonal, cultural responsiveness, sponsorship).
In addition, directors of career development and training programs can use the toolkit to guide conversations among mentors and mentees to assess, align, and optimize mentoring relationships and the outcomes resulting from those relationships.

CIMER has developed standardized evaluation surveys to evaluate Entering Mentoring-based mentor trainings and Mentoring Up-based mentee trainings. These surveys are comprised of measures from this library and are used to collect information on mentoring background, workshop experience, confidence gains, skill gains, and demographics. Surveys are designed to be administered post training.
