Hi, I am Alina. I am 11 years old and I am in Grade 5. I am a student at Windhoek International School and the topic that I chose for my PYP Exhibition is about the well-being and care for Dogs in our community.
Hi, my name is Charlotte and I am 10 years old soon to be 11. I go to school at Windhoek International School and we are busy with our PYP Exhibition topic I chose Stray Cats because it has come to my attention that it is a problem and the SPCA is struggling with it so I've decided to help them because I love cats and it was my mom's job to help them and I want to walk in her footsteps and help cats get new homes.
I go to the SPCA three times a week to go and play with the Quarantine cats and help the SPCA community.
Hi, I am Shanyce Mawire. I am 10 years old in Grade 5 at Windhoek International School. What I chose for my PYP exhibition is stray Dogs/puppies.
I chose this topic because in my neighborhood there are many stray dogs and many of them are coming to my house and playing with Cola (dog).
Hi, my name is Jana. I am a foreign language primary school teacher at WIS since 2022.
Over the past few weeks, I had the pleasure of guiding Charlotte, Alina, and Sharnice as they embarked on their culminating PYP exhibition.
From the onset, I've harboured a profound affinity for animals and their welfare. Whether nurturing a hamster or tending to a horse, my connection with creatures great and small has remained steadfast.
It was a privilege to impart this passion to the Grade 5 students, enriching their understanding of this crucial aspect of their PYP exploration.
Big or small, you are never too young or too old to learn, to educate and to make a difference.
Hi, I'm Jolene. I'm excited to assist Charlotte, Shanyce, and Alina with their PYP Exhibition Project. I adore animals and want to make sure they're treated well.
Our community needs to care about how animals are treated because they often need our help. You can help by spreading the word or volunteering at an animal shelter in your community.

Stray Cats: Killing them VS Saving them-Discussion text
The fact that stray animals exist is awful altogether because they scurry around spreading illnesses and terrorizing critics. Sympathizers believe that they should be saved no matter the problem they cause. I strongly believe that we should save stray cats. However, opposers believe that they should be euthanized because they generate havoc.
Exterminating stray cats is not and will not make a difference except we will be the reason for the extinction of stray cats. On the other hand, saving a cat will “change the world for that cat”. Stray cats have been multiplying and they only take about 62 to 64 days to have a litter.
There's also something called the “bunny huggers” and the “compassionless”. Bunny huggers are supporters that strongly believe that we should not harm or kill the strays, they will just feed the cats and let them be. The compassionless are opponents that believe that the strays should be killed and not care for the strays in any way.
Empathisers, like me, keep our say that we should not be harming the strays in any way for no reason. However, we want to keep our Community safe and solve the problem, and that's what the compassionless don't understand.
