Compost

At WIS we have 8m3 of compost bins, and another green waste compost pile which is huge!

There are Compost bins in each of the 5 team areas, in the food classroom and staff room

• The caretaker goes around (twice) weekly and empties
• If it is full sooner there are students in each team who can empty the compost buckets into the compost bins at the pool end of the turf.
• Food room compost bin is emptied daily by students.
• The compost bins have clear signage which is replaced every year or when needed.
• The bins are cleaned at the end of each term by the caretaker.
