About Our Barrier
Our barrier is hygiene for the unhoused communities. The difficulty of staying clean can lead to where they are life threatening. Lack of proper hygiene can also lead to diseases. Nineteen percent of the population in LA use buckets inside their tents, and half store water for night use. The unhoused have limited access to water and soap throughout their daily lives. Show and laundry access were among the most limited services available. This reduced people's ability to maintain body hygiene, and even employment opportunities. This is why we need wash services for the unhoused communities.
