Meet the Team

McKay Presley Selvi

McKay is passionate about creating this project because she used to volunteer with her school at retirement homes and play games with the elderly. This has really made her appreciate the elderly and want to do more to help them. During her time volunteering she formed strong relationships with the people at the facility and would never want anyone to feel alone or isolated. She also met people with disabilities while vistiting the facility and found them to be very fun to be around. Because of this she hopes to help end lonliness in the elderly polulation and plans to do what she can to be a part of the movment.

Presley is very passionate in creating this invention because her grandmother works with people in hospice. She has formed meaningful relationships with some people who barely get a chance to even make new friends because of some barriers and wants to change that.

Selvi is so happy to be doing this project and to be making an impactful and important difference in the world. Two of her grandparents are divorced and her grandfather lives in a rural community and often gets lonely. Additionally, her grandmother lives alone and loneliness is something she experiences daily. It breaks Selvi's heart to see someone of old age living alone, especially because she can relate to how their families must feel. This project is extremely special for her, because she gets to help people just like her grandparents and gets the opportunity to make a special and impactful difference in many lives.
