Bring Your Own Device

We are proud and excited to announce that Winchester Public Schools will continue the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program in grades 5 - 12, which  Winchester began piloting  in 2015. Based on the successful evaluation of these pilots, and in order to support our 5th grade students in their transition to McCall, we are continuing BYOD for our 5th grade classrooms.  This will begin the first day of school for our current 5th graders in the 2023-2024 school year.

As you know, we have been working very hard for the past couple of years on our district technology plan as well as our joint initiative, PowerED UP, with WFEE.  With the improvements we have made in our infrastructure, professional development, and technology in the classrooms, we are finding great success using BYOD in our safe and secure environment.
