The library rule, the one library rule, is respect.

• Respect other students in the library. 

• Respect all teachers and staff members in the library.

• Respect the space. (Clean up after yourself. Return any borrowed items to the appropriate location. Return any furniture you moved to the appropriate location.)

IF you fail to follow this rule, you may be asked to return to your classroom.

All fiction and nonfiction books circulate for 3 weeks.

Manga and graphic novels circulate for 1 week. MANGA IS GOLD. Please return these books on time as others are likely waiting on them. I encourage you to return items as soon as you complete them.

You may not check out more than 3 manga at one time. While the number of items you can checkout is unlimited for other materials, it is recommended that you don't check out more than you can read during any 3 week period.  If you have overdue books, you may be limited to one additional item.

WHEN? The library is open from the time I arrive until the time I leave. The library does close for 10 minutes during 3rd period (From 9:18-9:28) but, unless otherwise announced, is open for student use at all times. 

HOW? You can use the library with permission from your teacher. If you are checking in or checking out a book, I may not ask you for a pass. If you are staying to use the library, you must provide a pass from your current teacher. If you do not provide a pass, you may be asked to return to class. If you are using the library, you must ask the librarian or your current teacher for a pass to leave the room unless you are returning to class.

WHERE? The library has two entrances/exits. One entrance/exit is for High School the other for Middle School. HOWEVER, while in the library, you may use any available space. You may be asked to move if a space is needed for a class activity or to separate multiple groups.
