Scholarship

Scholarship means a commitment to learning. While good grades alone do not earn a student their membership in NHS, they are very important. Candidates must have a minimum grade point average of 3.35 to be selected and all members must maintain this grade point average to remain in NHS. You must be willing to spend time in study, knowing the lasting benefits of an educated mind and the need for academic growth in life.

Knowledge is the one quality in life which leads to the highest success, and it can be acquired in only one way--through diligence and effort. Learning provides the lamp by which we read the past, and the light which illuminates the future. Abigail Adams said, “Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.” Candidates, you have the charge of continually expanding your world through life-long learning and high scholastic goals.
