Assessment Task 3

Overall Task Scenario:

Now that the foundation knows what you propose to achieve, you will now need to put your ideas into practise and begin creating a piece of music that meets your artistic intention. The foundation is very interested in how you will develop your ideas and skills and how successful this has been.

You should think about the following questions:

• How have you been developing your musical ideas?

• How have you been developing your performance or creation skills?

• How have you been using the knowledge you have gained to help you create music?

• Why have you decided to develop the music in the way that you have?

To complete this assessment you can choose to do one of the following:

1. Written Log - You will need to keep a written log in the form of a journal, diary or a blog detailing the progress you have made and what ideas you have explored.

2. Video Log- You will need to a video log (vlog) detailing the progress you have made and what ideas you have explored.

3. Podcast - You will need to create a podcast that regularly details the progress you have made and what ideas you have explored.

You will be assessed on the following criterion and strands:

Criterion A - Knowing and Understanding

iii. Demonstrate awareness of knowledge gained and music created. (Aiii)

Criterion B - Developing Skills

i. Demonstrate learning and development of skills and techniques. (Bi)

Criterion C - Thinking Creatively

iii. Demonstrate the exploration of ideas. (Ciii)
