Miss Allen has been an educator for over 20+ years.  She has been a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teacher, and also spent 14 years as an Elementary School principal.  In addition to her love of teaching, Wendy has a passion for traveling the world and learning about other cultures.  She did additional student teaching in Scotland, spent a year teaching in England, and took summer school in Italy while getting her Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision.  Wendy has traveled to 40+ countries, 6 continents, and has volunteered at schools and orphanages in Thailand, Cambodia, Fiji, Chile, and multiple states in the US.  She loves being a teacher, hiking, being in the mountains, seeing animals in the wild, anything nature related (except bugs and insects), and hanging out with her friends and family.    

Laura Nerenberg is entering her third decade as a classroom teacher at Harper Elementary School where she has taught both third and fourth grade!   Ms. Nerenberg loves working with her students and developing positive relationships with her students and families. In her free time, Ms. Nerenberg enjoys reading historical fiction and spending time with her pets.

John graduated from Northern Illinois University and received his Master's Degree from National Louis University.  He taught at Elgin Academy for two years before joining the Harper Dolphin staff in 2001.  John enjoys coaching the Wilmette Special Olympics team and the Wilmette Junior High School wrestling team.  In his free time, John enjoys traveling and playing softball.
