Welcome to Willow Pediatric Therapy, PLLC providing occupational therapy in-home and nature-based services to families in the Graham and Puyallup South-Hill areas and telehealth across WA state!
Willow Pediatric Therapy is a private-practice owned by Laura Stuart MOT OTR/L C/NDT.
Willow Pediatric Therapy's goal is to empower families and partner with you to improve your child's ability to participate and flourish in their everyday activities. We feel honored to work along side families to find the underlying reasons for your child's challenges and work together to find activities within your daily routines to help your child succeed.
Here are a few ways we've helped children and their families blossom in the past:
Motor skills: Helped a toddler learn to take their first steps after they "missed" that milestone
Feeding therapy: Allowed a family to enjoy mealtimes again after struggling with getting their child to eat and try new foods including new vegetables and meat
Sensory processing: Educated a family on how to read their daughter's cues when she needed sensory input and when she was getting overwhelmed. Helped the family learn to use their couch cushions, yoga ball and blankets to help provide a variety of sensory input to address her sensory needs
Fine motor &Handwriting: Improved 7 year old boy's handwriting so his correct answers could be legible enough for the teacher to read
Coordination skills: Gradually improved a child's motor planning and coordination so they could play with their friends on the playground, jump rope and skip
Executive functioning: Supported an older child's family in providing accommodations at home for challenges with executive functioning after a brain injury such as staying on task to empty the dishwasher
