*PSEO Information is constantly changing - please check your college's website for the most up-to-date information
A Notice of Student Registration (NOSR) form is due EACH semester your child plans to take PSEO classes. Starting Fall 2025 the University of Northwestern will require this form to be submitted electronically with their online PSEO application. Ridgewater College still accepts the paper form, see below. The paper form needs to be completed and submitted to the guidance counselor by May 15th for fall PSEO courses, and November 15th for spring semester PSEO courses. It needs to be completed for each semester, one form doesn't cover the whole year.

In a nutshell, this is an option to take college level courses in grades 11 and 12. The college courses and all textbooks are free of cost, and most colleges and universities in Minnesota participate.
HOWEVER:
*For each credit (most classes are 4 credits each) there is an expected 2-3 hours of homework each week (8-12 hours weekly). These classes are rigorous, designed for students who'd like to challenge themselves. Most colleges at this time are online; it's important to be self motivated.
*Our CCS student is treated as a college student. Applying to the college's PSEO program, formally accepting the offer, and registering for courses are the student's responsibility. We are here to help, but you are responsible for yourself.
*Mrs. Clark offers a class each spring in college level literature or composition (4 credits) here on our CCS campus.
*Ridgewater and the University of Northwestern are the most common colleges our students choose; however, most colleges and universities in the state participate.
*If interested, please talk to Mrs. Sarsland for more information.

After you've perused the PSEO Checklist and completed/returned the NOSR, then you must apply to the University.
UNWSP has posted their student handbook (the link is below). This is filled with valuable information - please read through it. They have also created a handout with application information as well as registration information. Please read and use these handouts!
Questions can be directed to their Dual Enrollment Office at: advisingde@unwsp.edu
