Getting Started
Since we use Microsoft as our email service in WBSD7, Outlook is the app that you will use to access it. This can either be done through the Outlook website or the installed desktop app.
The website can be accessed through the Office 365 app on Coyonet or by going to Outlook.com
If you prefer using the desktop version of Outlook (like I do), it should already be installed on your teacher computer. This video will walk you through the basics of signing in for the first time and navigating around.
Setting it Up
To create your own WBSD7 Email signature, you can use this link to visit the signature creator page and fill out the fields you'd like to appear in your signature image. To apply the image to your email signature, follow the steps covered in the video.
Note: Some of the information in the first part of the video is out of date, but the directions on how to save the image and use it in the Outlook software and web portal are still accurate.
"Reply All" is a useful feature of Outlook that allows an email recipient to easily respond to a group email and have everyone in the group receive their response.
While there are many times that it is appropriate to "Reply All", there are also many times that you probably don't need the entire group seeing your response (ex. "Replying All" to a district-wide email means that everyone in the district also received your response.)
This often happens accidentally if your default "Reply" button is set to "Reply All". To change that setting, see below.
(It's not a default on the desktop the way that it is on the web app, so just be sure to click the correct button!)
Outlook Calendar Calendar
The Calendar built-in to Outlook is the most commonly used online calendar in the district and it is often utilized by district admins to schedule events and send out invites.
