That being said, even the experts get it wrong sometimes. It's important to evaluate the websites you use and do your own fact-checking as you complete your research.

Pew Research Center - Conducts public opinion polling, demographic research, media content analysis and other empirical social science research. Population Reference Bureau Data Center - A data searching tool from the nonprofit Population Reference Bureau, including information on income, housing prices, health, and labor force.
Statista - Data and statistics website with global information on a wide variety of facts and topics.
UNdata - Easy way to search and download across multiple United Nations' databases. Includes current information on populations, trade, standard of living, and the environment.
US Census Bureau - Provides access to datasets, publications, and infographics on population-related information including geography, economics, business and social structures.
USA Facts - A not-for-profit, nonpartisan civic initiative making government data easy for all Americans to access and understand.
USA Spending - Search by agency, recipient, state funding, or even your own neighborhood to see how federal money is being used. Developed as part of the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act.
CIA World Fact Book - Provides information on the history, people and society, government, economy, energy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.
Congress.gov - Is the official website for federal U.S. legislative information including committee hearings and reports, congressional and senate communications, members and legislation.
New York Heritage Digital Collections - Search and browse digital collections about New York State's extensive history. Includes letters, diaries, photographs, newspapers, and maps from over 160 museums, libraries and archives.
US Department of State - The United States Department of State, or simply the State Department, is an executive department of the U.S. federal government responsible for the country's foreign policy and relations.
Center for Young Women's Health - Offers quality health info on a broad range of topics, and each is available in English and Spanish. The articles are arranged alphabetically and by topic.
Go Ask Alice - Contains a wide array of reliable health and wellness information for teens supported by a team of Columbia University health promotion specialists, health care providers, and other health professionals, along with a staff of information and research specialists and writers.
Healthfinder.gov - Contains information on over 120 health and wellness topics from several government agencies including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
MedlinePlus - National Library of Medicine’s database of health information for consumers and health professionals. Includes information on over 750 health topics, drugs and supplements, medical encyclopedia, dictionaries, interactive tutorials, and surgery videos. Also includes health information in over 40 languages.
National Institute of Health - Provides information on science and healthcare topics.
PubMed - Comprises more than 36 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books.
Young Men's Health - An educational health site produced by Children’s Hospital Boston includes health guides for young men on a wide range of topics, including general physical health, emotional health, and sexual health.
