Students did not have a chance to complete their prints. I will post pictures of prints at a later date.

All Are Welcome Here

Our 2020 Makerspace students created these wonderful signs and cards inspired by the novel Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. Students learned how to create basic circuits to make each project light up.

Wishtree Signs

Students creating their signs that will decorate our school. They learned how to collaborate to solve both visual problems and technical problems. Students added the element of light to their signs.

Thank you to the Williams Bay PTO for donating a Cricut Explore Air 2 Machine!

First Challenge

Students create a structure using only items in the "Mystery Bag". All items were nature inspired to align with the Wishtree theme.

Our Wishtree

Students from the entire Williams Bay School District are contributing to the creation of our very own Wishtree in the elementary library.

I have been working on creating the main structure of the tree. Elementary students have created beautiful leaves that will adorn the tree branches. Elementary makerspace students will create 3D prints of "trinkets" that will decorate the hollow of the tree just like in the novel.

Middle school students will create 3D prints of animals that appear in the story. These animals will be placed within the tree branches and around the tree.

High school students will be creating the bark with wood burning tools and a laser etcher.

We will continue to add to our tree once school resumes. You can see our progress in the photos to the left.

Try this at home!
