6th Class pupils celebrated their Confirmation on Thursday February 13th in Oristown Church.
2nd Class pupils made their First Penance on Thursday, 27th of February in Kilberry Church.
On Wednesday the 22nd of January Scoil Naomh Barra celebrated Grandparents' Day. All the classes put on a short performance. The school provided tea and treats for the grandparents. It was certainly a day to remember.
Seachtain na Gaeilge took place from the 1st - 17th of March. All classes were encouraged to communicate through Irish as much as possible throughout the day. All classes participated in a céilí sa chlós. Bhí go leor imeachtaí eile ar siúl ar scoil: tráth na gceist ceolchoirm agus Raidió Scoil Naomh Barra. Rinne gach duine iarracht ollmhór Gaeilge a labhairt don coicíse. Maith sibh muintir Scoil Naomh Barra.

On the 6th of March our school celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book character or in their pajamas. The teachers swapped classes for a read aloud session. 3rd- 6th classes also took part in a book themed quiz in the hall. Everyone enjoyed the day!

Friday the 28th of March was crazy hair day. Everyone brought in €2 and that money will go towards our Autism Classes. Everyone's hair looked amazing and certainly very crazy!
The Scholastic book fair was in the school from the 3rd - 7th of March. Children were able to go to the book fair located in the library and purchase books and stationary! We will recieve rewards to spend on new books for our school library.
Of course we had to celebrate Pancake Tuesday by having pancakes here in the school! Lorna & Linda from the PA and our SNA Grace made some delicious pancakes for all the pupils to enjoy. It wouldn't be Pancake Tuesday without some pancakes!!!🥞
In February our school hosted our first Féile Fichille chess tournament.
In April, our chess team competed in the Ficheall Comortás in Simonstown. They competed against 12 other schools from the Meath and Louth area.
Scoil Naomh Barra was thrilled to host the annual Eason Spelling Bee competition in our school hall. Well done to Michael Sheridan for representing Scoil Naomh Barra on the day!
