Pupils from 5th and 6th classes took part in the 5-a-side FAI tournament at the MDL this term. All our teams put in their best effort, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and determination in each match. A big congratulations to all the children who participated!
The boys' hurling team is currently competing in the Cumann na mBunscol competition. To date, they have played one match and had a comprehensive win. The competition will continue after the Easter holidays.
Children from Senior Infants - 4th classes participated in Gaelic training with Ian Malone from Meath GAA/Wolfe Tones for 6 weeks.
Swimming sessions were enjoyed by 1st and 2nd classes in Aura Leisure Centre in Navan this term.
Kayla Finney McConnon in 4th Class represented Scoil Naomh Barra in the Equestrian Interschools Competition with her horse Daisy.
6th Class is enjoying taking part in this year's basketball competition.
On Tuesday, April 1st, our girls' and boys' basketball teams competed against Knocktemple N.S. in Virginia, Co. Cavan. Both teams demonstrated great team spirit and respect throughout the game, with our boys' team returning home victorious and have now qualified for the semi-finals.
Our under 11 girls took part in the Olympic Handball County Finals in Gormanstown College in February. They played three very competitive games and were victorious in two.
Pupils from 4th- 6th classes took part in the Meath Athletics Cross Country event in Navan Racecourse on March 20th. All the children ran with great courage and determination with our 6th Class boys' team claiming a silver medal. Ice-cream and slushies were enjoyed by all in Park Beo afterwards.
