My First International Flight

My first time flying abroad was an experience I'll never forget. Last spring, I traveled to Tokyo, Japan, to visit a friend. I had always dreamed of visiting the country, and the trip was finally a reality.

The night before my flight, I was so excited I could barely sleep. I double-checked my passport, tickets, and luggage three times. My parents drove me to the airport early in the morning. The check-in process was smooth, but going through security felt a bit nerve-wracking. Luckily, I got through without any issues.

The flight itself was long, about 10 hours. I tried to sleep, but the excitement kept me awake. I watched a couple of movies and listened to music. The flight attendants were very kind and kept us comfortable. When we finally landed at Narita International Airport, I felt a mix of relief and pure joy.

Navigating the airport was a little challenging, as I wasn't used to the signs and announcements in Japanese. However, I managed to find my way to the train station. My friend, Kenji, was waiting for me at the train platform in central Tokyo. Seeing a familiar face in a completely new country was a wonderful feeling.

Over the next week, we explored the city. We visited famous places like the bustling Shibuya Crossing, the peaceful Meiji Jingu Shrine, and the beautiful Imperial Palace. The food was incredible—from delicious ramen to fresh sushi. I even tried street food like takoyaki and mochi.

My trip to Tokyo was a fantastic adventure. It was a new experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me so much about a different culture. I left Japan with a heart full of memories and a desire to travel more.
