About me

This is my 12th year of teaching both English and history. I began my career teaching for four years in New Haven before coming to Bristow Middle School where I spent six years teaching both subjects. Last year was my first year at Conard and now I am excited to be teaching in our virtual high school!

I double majored in both English and history at SUNY Binghamton and briefly worked in university administration before pursuing an MA in Urban Education Studies. I have a second MA in English as well. I became a teacher because I care deeply about equity in schools and believe in schools' potential to create informed, critical thinkers and citizens.

I have two daughters and two dogs! Before Covid I loved traveling and look forward to planning big family trips again when this is over. In the meantime I read (A LOT) and watch silly sitcoms. I can't wait to spend the year reading, learning, and creating together.
