All White County School System employees and volunteers are mandated reporters of suspected child abuse and neglect. Child abuse includes physical abuse, physical neglect, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. Abuse information can be revealed during regular contact with a child in the classroom, in a counseling session, through reporting by another child or children of alleged incidents of suspected abuse. Employees and volunteers should immediately report suspected child abuse or neglect to a school counselor, school social worker, or school administrator.

Child abuse and/or neglect reports are taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
