Mindmap

GET CREATIVE!

Mind maps can help condense several pages of notes in your exercise books into a helpful picture that helps you visualize the topic. Using a central theme (Topic), uses branches to summarize information, using singular key words if possible, not sentences.

THE CENTRAL THEME

Will be the topic you are studying and will be placed in the middle of your paper

ASSOCIATIONS

These are the words that radiate out. First associations that radiate out are called first level associations, then second levels are created. When associations are created, connections to the central theme are made.

USE KEY WORDS AND CURVED LINES

Curved lines, because the brain loves curved lines!!!

Key words are important, not sentences. A single word for each word per association gives more creativity, and clarity. Remember it is a summary of information.
