Absolutely!

Students will ONLY be allowed to use their calculators for Section I Part B and Section II Part A (this will be indicated in the Bluebook app)
What if my school laptop can't hold a charge for very long or it gets a low battery during my exam?
Remember, students must use their school laptop for all AP exams except paper exams. No personal laptops will be allowed. All homeschool testers will be provided a school laptop with a default login.
There will be charging stations available during the exam if a student's school laptop needs to be plugged in due to a low battery.
There will be an option to use another school laptop if a student's school laptop needs to be switched out due to their laptop becoming unusable.
What if I have a competition the same day as my exam?
If a student has a high-stakes academic or athletic competition such as State, National, or International at the same time as an AP exam, they may request to take their exam during the late testing window (May 18 - 22) at no additional charge.
Please email our AP coordinator, Mrs. Ann Nemeck (ann.nemeck@cobbk12.org) or Mrs. Amanda Brown (amanda.brown@cobbk12org) as soon as a competition conflict is discovered for a late test to be ordered.
The latest date a student or parent/guardian can reach out in regards to a competition conflict is by 3:30 PM April 3, 2026 (the Friday before Spring Break).
What if I have two exams on the same day?
There are two scenarios for this:
Two exams at the same time - Students will take one of their exams during the scheduled time and one during the late testing window (May 18 - 22) at no additional charge.
Two exams not at the same time - Students will typically have 15 min. between the morning and afternoon exams to be able to eat a snack or light "sack" lunch and charge their laptop. These students must take both exams on that day, and no late ordering will be permitted. If a student attends the morning exam but does not attend the afternoon exam, they will not be allowed to late test the afternoon exam and will forfeit all payment for it.
What if I am late or miss my exam?
Late
Students may still take their exam if the proctor has not started reading the instructions yet.
If the test has already started, unfortunately, the student will not be allowed to enter the testing room, all payment is forfeited for that exam, and a late exam will not be ordered.
This includes if a student chooses to ride the bus in the morning and does not arrive on time (please read the 'Will I be able to ride the bus in the morning or afternoon?' FAQ in the Spring to get a more detailed explanation about bus transportation).
Absent
The only allowed excuse to miss an AP exam that is not an academic or athletic competition is if a student is sick and a doctor's excuse on official letterhead must be provided via email by 6 PM on the same day as the missed exam to be permitted to take the late exam.
What if I do not want to take my exam anymore?
Cancellation
Students may get a partial refund if they email our AP coordinator, Mrs. Ann Nemeck (ann.nemeck@cobbk12.org) or Mrs. Amanda Brown (amanda.brown@cobbk12org) to cancel their exam by May 1, 2026.
Partial Refund - A $42 cancellation fee per exam will apply and the one-time $15 non-refundable admin fee will be kept even if all exams are cancelled
No Show
If a student does not show up for their exam, all payment for that exam will be forfeited and a late exam will not be ordered.
Students who used a GA STEM waiver or a Free/Reduced Lunch waiver
If a student who used one of the two waivers wishes to cancel their exam after the full refund deadline OR does not show up for their waived AP exam, they must pay a $40 cancellation/no-show fee per waived AP exam.
All seniors who incur $40 cancellation/no-show fees must pay the fees before they can walk at graduation!
When will I see the results of my exam?
Students will see the results of all their exams early July.
Students should get an email from College Board letting them know when they can check their exam scores.
To pass an AP exam, students need to earn at least a 3 or higher (5 is the highest) on the AP grading scale.
Check out the "What is an AP exam?" and "Which AP credits do colleges/universities accept?" questions on the What is AP? webpage to get a more in-depth explanation of the AP grading scale and college credits you can earn.
What if I need testing accommodations?
Visit our AP Testing Accommodations page for more details.
For students who need testing accommodations for the first time or a change to their accommodations, the deadline is January 16, 2026.
For students wanting to waive testing accommodations, the deadline is 48 hours before their AP exam.
