OUR LEARNING

The NZ Curriculum is the basis for learning at our kura.  

The core subjects of Mathematics and Statistics and Literacy (Reading and Writing) are at the heart of everything we do.   The other curriculum areas (such as Social Sciences, Science, Health and P.E.) are integrated throughout the day and week to ensure our ākonga are receiving a well-rounded education.

• Collaborative teaching and learning programme - this allows flexible grouping to support our ākonga needs and strengths

• Play-based and hands-on learning approach - to encourage creativity, curiosity and working collaboratively

• Termly school-wide Discovery Learning - focus based on our localised curriculum

• Technology - Year 7 and 8 ākonga attend a weekly programme held at Cullinane School
