Whangaehu School, located 15 kilometres south of Whanganui off State Highway 3, serves co-educational students from Year 0 to Year 8 in the serene Whangaehu valley near the Whangaehu River.
The school features a spacious play area and its own pool, all set against a serene rural backdrop.
At Whangaehu School we are a caring community where everyone is nurtured to grow into their best selves.
Nau mai, haere mai ki te Kura o Whangaehu - welcome to Whangaehu School.
Thank you so much for inquiring about our kura. You will notice from the moment that you walk through the gates that there is something special here. We are a small rural school, with fabulous tamariki, an amazing team of 3 teachers and 3 support staff and a highly supportive Board of Trustees, whānau and community.
At our kura, we believe in creating an environment where our tamariki grow and develop into the best people that they can be. For this to happen, it is important for us to have a strong home / school partnership, that links with our community to support our tamariki with their learning. This is reflected in our school whakataukī 'Pikihia te Maunga - climb the mountain', by working together we ensure our tamariki reach their goals.
For a personalised education for your child, we encourage you to come and see our little bit of paradise! I know that you will see the 'something special' that we have.
Ngā mihi nui
