Academic Language

This artifact is a writing lesson plan that I used in my Demonstration teaching. This artifact demonstrates my competency in academic language, as the standard, learning objective, and vocabulary words are all about academic language in writing. We worked on capitalization, punctuation, and spacing, which are all academic words in writing. This artifact had an effect on student learning by allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge and ability to properly write using standard English conventions that were grade-level appropriate. Based upon this effect, I would modify the artifact by providing more examples of properly written sentences to show students as a model.
