Our school counseling program at West Grand High School is derived from the ASCA National Model.

Management - In this domain program assessment and counseling department tools can be found including: an advisory council, annual agreements with administration, use of data, action plans, annual calendars, and counselor use of time assessments. (Many of these items can be found on the "resources" page)
Delivery - This is where individual student planning and response services live. 80% of the WGHS Counseling program focus is on delivery of student services in order to achieve the MOST effective use of time. Accountability - Counselors will apply the ASCA standards to their practice as well as use needs assessments and program data to inform the effectiveness of the West Grand High School counseling program. Evaluations of the school counselor and the school counseling program are done on a yearly basis.
