Counseling Department Mission Statement

The mission statement of the West Grand School District Counseling Department emphasizes the importance of facilitating student growth through guidance and support in academic, social-emotional, and career development. They aim to ensure that all students reach their full potential by advocating, leading, and collaborating with families, staff, and the community. The vision is that every student will experience relevant learning, academic success, and positive personal and social skill development.

School counselors are certified/licensed educators with a minimum of a master’s degree in school counseling, making them uniquely qualified to address all students’ academic, career and social/emotional development needs by designing, implementing, evaluating and enhancing a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes and enhances student success.
