No. We are not a walk-in clinic. Services are available by appointment only and are limited to registered patients of our family physicians.
When booking through the Patient Portal, please include the reason for your visit. Most medically necessary visits with a physician are covered by MSP for eligible BC residents. Some services are considered non-insured and may have an associated fee. If you are unsure, please ask our staff before your appointment.
Patients should arrive no later than 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment time to allow for check-in and to ensure they are seen on time.
If you are bringing an infant or child, please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for growth measurements.
We encourage patients to request prescription renewals at least 1–2 weeks before their medication runs out. Booking your renewal appointment early helps prevent interruptions in your treatment and avoids last-minute delays. If you are completely out of medication, send our front desk an email immediately. We will advise you on the next steps. However, urgent requests cannot always be accommodated, which is why early booking is essential.
Pharmacies may fax renewal requests to our office; however, a fax request does not replace the need for an appointment. If your medication renewal is due, we will ask you to book a phone or in-person visit before the prescription can be renewed.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Appointments can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance through the Patient Portal.
If you are unable to cancel through the portal, please email us at support@wgmed.ca at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time to avoid a cancellation fee.

I am a new patient and have completed my Meet & Greet. How do I transfer my medical records from my previous physician?
After completing your Meet & Greet appointment, you may request a transfer of your medical records from your previous physician. This process usually involves completing a Medical Records Transfer Authorization Form, which our front staff can provide. Once completed, you will need to contact your former family doctor to initiate the transfer.
Please note that medical record transfers are not covered by MSP, and your previous clinic may charge a fee. The fastest and preferred method for receiving your records is by fax. We can also accept records by paper copy.
For privacy and security reasons, we do not recommend emailing medical records.
