Meet the Members

Each singer has a story that brings the Innuendo sound together. Let's get to know them!

Class of 2027

Zoe Kane, President

Alto 2 - Outer Banks, NC.

The backbone of Innuendo and master behind our Google Calendar, Zoe runs this group like clockwork: precise and on time.

Gavin Swartz, Vice President

Tenor 1 - Boston, MA.

Former Broadway performer, Gavin commands the stage. He has vocal chords of velvet and the emotional delivery to move any crowd. Don't get too teary-eyed though, he's only acting.

Andrew Braun

Bass 2 - Wilmington, NC.

With his warm bass timbre, Andrew holds the group together. Sometimes literally (he's a hugger).

Lily Engles

Soprano 1 - Denver, CO.

With the voice of a Disney princess, Lily breaks out into song far too little. Her contemporaries include Ariel and Snow White. We always ask her to sing "Let It Go" at karaoke night, or 'Elsa' we'll be sad!

Chasen Cage

Tenor 2 - Chicago, IL.

Chasen's not just the smooth high-flying tenor with a crisp A4, he's also got a nice Bb4 belt. Word of advice: don't take a picture with him unless you're willing to look boring in comparison.

Michelle Ferrone

Alto 1 - Greenwich, NJ.

Captain of the alto section, Michelle leads by example. She's so on time and in tune, even the music director wouldn't dare accuse her of musical malpractice.

Class of 2028

Jenna Yount, Social Media Manager

Soprano 1 - Salisbury, NC.

Its a bird! It's a plane! Its Jenna's soprano 1 line!

Nina Angella

Soprano 2 - Boston, MA.

This is in fact her first a cappella rodeo, though you could never tell by the way she leads with confidence and rocks our Lady Gaga Medley.

Charlie Griffiths

Bass 2 - Chicago, IL.

With his perfect pitch and sub-octave opt-downs, Charlie is a cornerstone of our signature sound. And an actual cornerstone in our human pyramid.

Winston Miller, Music Director

Baritone - Dallas, TX.

A crooner online but an opera singer at Wake, Winston waits for Innuendo rehearsal to really show what he's got. If you want a voice lesson (or even if you don't!), he's got plenty of tips, tricks, and unsolicited advice for you.

Class of 2029

Lucy Thomspon

Soprano 2 - Richmond, VA.

With her vocal prowess and seemingly autotuned voice, Lucy controls the salient soprano 2 line like its on a leash. Give her a solo and listen to how any song can become her own.

Matt Palmieri, Treasurer

Baritone - Chatham, NJ.

Though he's just a sophomore, Matt has earned his keep in Innuendo, serving as the treasurer. His prerequisite: the last treasurer was a baritone. And the one before that. And before that.

Neve Portnoy

Soprano 2 - Holly Springs, NC.

A theater performer and STEM major, Neve Portnoy works day in and day out. Despite her workload, she livens our group with her stage humor. We hope she doesn't try her stage combat anytime soon. . .

Class of 2030 . . .
