If you took a proctored assessment during the first week of classes and your score is at least 80, this earns you a PASS for MTH 105L. You do not need to continue attending MTH 105L sessions, although you are welcome to attend for extra practice.
If you did not earn at least 80 on the first proctored assessment, practice in the learning modules in ALEKS PPL and continue to attend MTH 105L sessions. About 6 hours of work in the learning modules translates to a 10-15 point improvement on the next assessment. During the fourth week of class, you can take another proctored assessment during your MTH 105L meeting. If you don't reach 80 by your second attempt, you will need to continue attending MTH 105L.
We are here to help!
MTH 105L provides some structured support as you work through ALEKS. The material in MTH 105L will help you in MTH 111! If your score is significantly lower than 80, please consider switching to MTH 104 or MTH 106 and taking MTH 111 in the spring (email Professor Yengulalp yengull@wfu.edu and your academic advisor).
Visit the Math & Stats Center for study sessions and one-on-one tutoring. Consider attending several study sessions each week. You can do your homework there, work with your peers, and ask a TA if you need help!
Reach out to your professor for guidance. They have office hours and are happy to help you.
