Hello everyone! I'm proud of you for taking the time to practice today!
Curwen hands signs are the sign language of music.
Solfege hand symbols create a kinesthetic movement to go along the verbal and aural association stages of Music Learning Theory. They help connect our inner hearing (known as audiation) and the reading of solfege with music performance.
Learning how to sing tonal scales using Curwen hand signs will help singers develop better intonation (the ability to sing in tune). Intonation is incredibly important!!!!
Are you ready to practice your Major and Minor scales using Curwen hand signs?
Sing through each scale two times each. Remember to sing with tall vowels!
