Clubs For Enrichment

Art club is an after-school club that meets regularly with a focus on creating large-scale artwork for around the school. It is a priority to give members the opportunity to create works that are not possible in a traditional classroom setting. 

Chinese Club, like all the other foreign language clubs at Whitefish Bay, is open to anyone with or without a Chinese background who is interested in Chinese culture and even some of the language. Every so often, especially in the spring, we gather to celebrate Chinese holidays ranging from Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival to the Qingming and Dragon Boat Festivals. There will often be traditional (sometimes homemade) Chinese food brought in to share while we practice Ma Jiang and Chinese Chess, explore Chinese calligraphy and art, or even occasionally watch Chinese movies (with English subtitles of course!). For those interested, we will offer travel advice to China and Hong Kong along with study abroad programs.

Drama club is open to anyone who has a passion for the theatrical arts. Drama Club works to create a theater family bonded by students’ passion for theater. Students also attend local productions, both educational and professional, to enrich their exposure to theater, and the Drama Club provides specialized training in a variety of areas through workshops and guest artists

French Club is an activity primarily run by the students themselves. All students who are taking French or any and all students who are interested in the language and its cultures are welcome to be members. Activities change from year to year depending on the interests and participation of the club members. 

Gaming Club is a welcoming group environment that promotes teamwork, friendship and fun! Friends gather together to play many fun games in a (strictly) casual setting, breaking away from the competitiveness of their normal daily lives, both in school and leisure. The club typically meets on Fridays about once per month. While students encouraged to bring their own board games and consoles, some are provided, such as Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers and Code Names. 

German Club welcomes everyone to our virtual meetings at during lunch to learn about German speaking countries, and participate in games and quizzes.

Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and promote diversity in technological and computer science fields. The Whitefish Bay high school club aims to help students learn computer science and gain valuable programming skills and experience.  The curriculum will focus on self-guided tutorials, interactive activities, agendas and more. 

Health club works to promote a healthy lifestyle through fun activities and delicious food. We meet every Thursday to taste foods that we could potentially incorporate in our diet, and we discuss what the weekend adventure will be. Nearly every weekend we do a fun activity like hiking, trying new workout classes, doing yoga, and surfing! 

Are you interested in pursuing business, finance, or economics as a career? Do you simply want to make money on the side? Investment club is the answer for you. Members will be able to participate in a 100,000 dollar paper trading investment challenge with real prizes as well as receiving weekly lessons from fellow students on investment strategies and important terminology. Additionally, guest speakers from local businesses will speak to the investment club monthly. On top of all that, the investment club will collectively run a $500 stock portfolio using real money with all profits going to charity! You won’t want to miss out!  

Rough Draft Of Schedule: Meetings will typically be held on Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:00 

Students Modeling a Research Topic (SMART) is one team of students working together to research a biochemical molecule, build a 3-D model, and present research findings. Students collaborate as a team(and sometimes with professors and researchers to understand a current topic in biology or medicine relating to this molecule. 

Spanish club is an activity primarily run by the students themselves. Students do not need to be currently enrolled in a Spanish class to join. Activities change from year to year and might include things like attending community events (Dia de los Muertos parades), movie nights, fundraising, and cultural exploration. Participation in activities is not mandatory, but recommended. 

The purpose of this club is to teach students of all skill levels on how to make bracelets and become masters! Activities planned include classes starting from beginner to master, bracelet drives, bracelet swaps, and chill bracelet sessions 

Interested in making new friends, hanging out, and eating food? Make sure to come to the breakfast club in Mr. T’s room. 

To gather people with the same interests of Anime and Manga in a social setting. It will be a chill environment for newer/ older Anime/Manga fans 

Calling all creative writers! Whether you’re a poet, fiction writer, or the author of a fan-fic, all storytellers are welcome to join the Creative Writing Workshop club. The meetings are efficient and happen in Room 256 during lunch, so please drop in and see what we’re all about. 

Students get together to listen to new music, discuss lyrics, share discoveries, and have fun with others who share their interests. Activities planned are weekly meetings in the Orchestra room where we would discuss a different topic for each week.
