Prevention of Physical Restraint: Introduction
This training module is intended to provide annual overview training on the topic of restraint for all school staff.
Important: this training does not qualify a person to administer restraint.
Employees whose position requires them to administer restraint must complete this module AND attend additional specialized training provided by a certified IANCI program Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) trainer in a Westwood Public Schools-endorsed program. Only those staff members with current CPI certification may physically restrain a student.
