Home:  WPS Online Training

All WPS employees are required to complete this training in accordance with Massachusetts law and district policy.  This training consists of three parts: 

Part 1:  Annual Trainings 

• • Bullying Prevention

  • Confidentiality of Student Records

  • Reporting Abuse and Neglect (51A)

  • Civil Rights

  • Prevention of Physical Restraint

  • McKinney-Vento Act for Homeless Students/Foster Care

  • Private Tutoring for Pay

  • Representation in Curriculum Materials

Part 2:  Safety Trainings

These trainings are designed to help all staff learn about how to respond in case of a crisis.  The videos should be reviewed on an annual basis.  

Part 3:  State Ethics Training (everyone completes this year)

• • Complete the training through the state's new online training portal. 

  • View/download a copy of the state regulations.

  • After this year, you will be required to complete the training every other year.  You automatically will receive an email from the state when you are due for training. 

The deadline to complete all required parts of this training is September 15 (or within 15 days of hire).  

If you have any questions, please speak with your building principal.   It will take approximately 2-3 hours total to complete all parts.
