About our School

John F. Horgan Elementary School is located at 124 Providence Street in West Warwick RI. It is one of three elementary schools in town with 550 students in grades K-4.  Horgan offers a rigorous academic curriculum that challenges students and supports them in both their academic growth and social-emotional well-being. Our school provides co-teaching classroom models where regular educators and special educators work alongside one another to modify grade-level curriculum to accommodate wide ranges of learners.

We are a Title 1 school in which we receive federal dollars to help fund reading programs, parent involvement, and support staff.  These Title 1 programs include, but are not limited to: our reading specialist services,  after-school SEL leadership club, academic ramp-up programs,, family Wiz Skills evenings, and our incoming K jumpstart program.  

The Horgan Knight school community is proud to have established strong partnerships with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and the West Warwick Community. We strive to maintain and continue developing partnerships to continuously enrich our school environment and experience.
