Principal's Corner

Daily attendance is crucial for students to do their best learning.  Students who are in school each day, starting in kindergarten, have a better chance of success in high school and college.   Starting the routine of being prepared for school each day begins at home and at an early age.  Please read the below document from attendanceworks.org that highlights some ideas for creating a positive routine for good attendance.  Feel free to contact us at the school if you are having trouble getting your child to school each day. We can work together as a team to increase your child's attendance and help your child feel proud of their daily learning!     ~Mrs. Adams

Getting to know me:

I have been an administrator in RI since 2009, and principal here at Horgan since January 2018.  My daughter Molly is in first grade and my son Blake is in PreK.  They keep me on my toes and we have lots of fun together.  We love to travel, especially to Disney! My husband is super tall, and I am...not at all tall.  I love to read  fiction novels and read every night. My favorite place (besides Disney) is the beach.   I love working here in West Warwick in such a great, close knit community whose members take pride in working together to help the town be successful.  I have had the pleasure of meeting family members of our current students who have also attended Horgan, way back when, and love to hear their stories of Horgan.  I am looking forward to connecting with all of you to ensure that our students are here at school each day and do their best.  I want to help all of our students be successful and create positive memories to share with the next generation.
