If your child will be late to school or absent, please call the Harbor Lights main office before 9:00 a.m.  If the school does not receive a call, we will attempt to contact the parent/guardian.

If your child has an appointment they must leave school for, please call the main office as soon as possible in the day or your child may present the reception desk with a note from a parent at the beginning of the school day.  A pass will be given to the student so they may leave.  Any student leaving early must wait in the reception area.  Parents/guardians must sign out the student in the main office.

Students will not be excused for various reasons, including but not limited to missing the bus, oversleeping, and being driven to school late by a parent. Students arriving to school later than 10 minutes from the beginning of school will receive an unexcused absence.  It is very important to be on time!

If a student will be absent for an extended period, a trip slip must be completed and signed by the student’s teachers AND parent/guardian before departure.  The completed form must be returned to the main office before departing.  This form is available in the main office.
