Money usage: Plan the cost of a meal or event using the grocery store online flyer. (Most stores have online flyers weekly.)
Cooking with a recipe: Measure out ingredients, double or halve the recipe for older children...
Measuring Opportunities: Planning the seed or seedling placement in a garden, measuring growth.
Measuring for sewing or craft directions, also any remodeling plans you might be considering.
Measure/Analyze real world data and record it (longest jump, number of seashells, biggest fish, etc.)
Telling time and elapsed time: All children should become comfortable with telling time on an analog clock.
