Hello! Welcome to my digital portfolio. My name is Ms. White. As an inveterate bookworm and language lover, I am honored to work alongside students as they develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. 

I graduated from Westmont College in May 2024 with a B.A. in English, and three minors in music, education, and creative writing. As a secondary English teacher, I experience the language arts as both a passion and profession. I have experience working in middle and high school classrooms, and I have served for over five years as a writing coach at both the high school and college level. I am enthusiastic about developing interactive activities and assessments centered on engaged learning, convivial dialogue, and interdisciplinary innovation. 

It is my priority to create an environment where all students can 1) test their ideas in a meaningful community, 2) seek intellectual, emotional, and interpersonal growth, and 3) experience agency over the development of their English Language Arts skills. As an English educator, I am grounded in the great joy that my vocation is about affirming the innate dignity, value, and creative potential in each human spirit.
