Portfolios have been decorated, artwork has been passed back. That's a wrap on the year! Have a wonderful summer everyone!

We are wrapping up our Greg Mike projects...

Greg Mike Project

Students are learning about the American artist and muralist who is known for his character Larry Loudmouf. We are recreating this monster-like creature taking inspiration from by his murals as we fill up our papers with creativity.

Sometimes it's fun to put music on, grab some black paper and oil pastels and have no plan. It was fun to see the different ideas that flowed out of the artists this week!

"It's not a square" and Dice games were the perfect way to come back from spring break!

Final Drafts are underway.....

Optical Illusions

Students are learning a few different optical illusions through direct drawing practice. They will now choose which Illusion they would like to do for final draft.

Students spent the week creating feathers for an all school collaboration art project....stay tuned for the big reveal in a few weeks

Students wrapped up their Valentine's Day Projects, Doodle for Google entries and Fish Bowl projects this week. It was a fun, busy week in art class!

Matisse Inspired Fishbowls

Each student will create a fishbowl and at least three fish swimming in different perspectives. They will have the opportunity to add additional details as they brainstorm this week.
