Mr. Ramon Paredes

Hello Explorers! I am your HS STEM teacher and this is my first year teaching in Westlake Charter High School. I am very excited to learn with all of you and explore innovative experiences that drives meaningful learning experiences.

I am an enthusiastic technology teacher bringing seven years’ experience in teaching technology courses. I am passionate about generating engaging and meaningful classroom discussions among students and provide real-world insights from my previous work experiences as a technical analyst and software development team leader for a global IT company.  I also led a Robotics team for three consecutive years as a coach for First Lego League robotics program competitions.

My teaching philosophy centers on the idea that whatever one can conceive and believe can be achieved. By incorporating the power of positive mental attitude in teaching and learning both the teacher and students can benefit from having a growth mindset.

I am a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success and a firm believer of "Success through Action with Purpose".
