Unit 2 Basic Greeting Conversations
During unit 2 students will learn vocabulary for greetings to use in basic greeting conversations. Students will learn to identify vocabulary for greetings and will be able to respond to basic greetings in conversations. Students will have many opportunities to work with partners and in small groups.

Unit 1 on Cognate Awareness, Colors & the Spanish Alphabet
Hello Explorers!
In this unit students will use cognate awareness to increase Spanish vocabulary. Students will work in small groups to identify and express colors they like. Students will also be challenged to learn letter names in Spanish alphabet to be able to spell names and random words.
Important dates
Unit 1 will begin week of August 21
Benchmark will be on week of September 12 on lesson 2.

August 9, 2022 Weeks 1 & 2
Welcome back to Spanish Explorers!
During the next two weeks, we will go over routines and expectations for the Spanish classroom. Students will discuss the importance of learning Spanish in small groups. Students will also have an opportunity to reflect on their Spanish language learning journey and set a couple of goals. In class students will practice greeting each other and making new class friends.
