Arms Blazon: Quarterly gules and sable, in bend two griffins Or.
Biography: I am Baron Griffin Garret, the son of a German Merchant, born in the year 1495. My father contracted my marriage to an English family to increase the trading range of the company. I brought her to my land holdings where we raised three children. After our eldest son took over the trade routes, we moved to Italy for a time, before coming to settle in the Barony of Winter's Gate.
Modernly, I met my wife in 1989 and she exposed me to the SCA then. I will admit that I wasn't that interested back then. She left the SCA in 1990 when we had our first child. After 10 years or so, she chose to return to the SCA to play, and after helping her out at an event or two, I found myself enjoying the activities and becoming more involved over time. About 5-ish years after I joined, I reigned with my wife as the Baron of Winter's Gate. I don't play as energetically as my Lady, but you can always catch my interest with a game of cribbage or a fine mead.

Arms Blazon: Per page vert and sable all semy of caltrops, a talbot passant argent.
Biography: Introduced to the SCA in the East in 1984, active in Trimaris in 1989-92 and moved to Winter's Gate/Oertha/West Kingdom in 1992.
An SCA and history Generalist. Primary focus on Heraldry and Service.
Researches SCA History (maintaining and researching past events), scans old newsletters to archive and glean information from, and produces a book, the "Oerthan Heraldic Coloring book". I dabble in Leatherwork, Costuming, -- a little of everything.
Developed an Heraldic Comic called "Heraldrydiculous" for humor and education.

Arms Blazon: Per fess embattled sable mullety argent and gules, in base a bee argent marked sable.
Biography: I am Mistress Margery Garret, the daughter of an English merchant and Lord. I was born in Kent England in the Year of Our Lord 1495. I was married by contract, as is proper, to the son of another merchant family to thusly bind the two families into a larger trade company. After my marriage, I moved to Germany to join the household of my husband. We raised three children and sent them onward to their own households and trade routes. After many years in Germany, we moved southward into Italy, outside the beautiful city of Venice.
Now we reside in the Barony of Winter's Gate where we happily live with our friends and found family. As Michele Griffin, I have played in the SCA, in the Barony of Winter's Gate, since I was 12 years old. I took a 10 year break in the middle to get married and have three kids. When my youngest turned age 3, I came back to the SCA and have been playing ever since. I reigned as the second Baroness of Winter's Gate, with my husband Baron Griffin Garret, from April 2005 to April 2011. I love making historical clothing, doing needlework, and making lace. I am also very happy to “infect†anyone willing to learn those topics.

Biography: I am Viscountess Violet Tailyeour, originally from the Perthshire port area of Scotland in the 12th Century AD. My lord, Viscount Duncan ap Llywellyn, and I reside in the Barony of Winter's Gate, Principality of Oertha, in the Kingdom of the West along with our son, Tristan Duncanson. My adventures in the Society for Creative Anachronism began in August 2004 in the Barony of Calafia in the Kingdom of Caid. This is where I fell in love with both the Society and my now husband. Then onward to the Barony of Dragonsspine, Kingdom of the Outlands in the Spring of 2006, the Shire of Forth Castle, Kingdom of Meridies in Spring of 2009. and now to the Barony of Winter’s Gate, Kingdom of the West in Spring of 2015. Our Society was started for fun and friendship, I think it is important to never forget those two core ideals. I started and maintain (with help now) the Facebook Group of Military SCAdians, which is now over 500 members strong. I love fostering newcomers into the society and regularly host sewing and project nights at my home. I enjoy costuming, and I am experimenting with lampworking, illumination, block-printing, herbals, and whatever else happens to tickle my fancy.
